CENTSS provides two types of auditing services to help institutions measure and
benchmark the effectiveness of their Web-based student services. These services are based on years of
research identifying the critical components in each student service and defining them at increased
levels of online sophistication.
Whether you are preparing for an accreditation visit, developing a strategic plan, or looking for ways
to increase your level of service to students, you can use the auditing services to…
- Examine your online services from a student’s point of view
- Benchmark your levels of service

Two Audit Services
-
Institution Self Audit – License the audit tool for use by your staff to self audit from one
to 20 services. To secure a license, you must set up an institution account with a primary
contact and pay the relevant license fee. You select your preferred start and end time for
the audit (30 days duration is recommended). You determine which and how many staff you
want to participate. When the license expires with the end date, you receive an email
message within 24 hours with a link to your confidential report.
-
Independent Audit -
For a more objective and in-depth review of your online student services, contract for a
CENTSS-expert audit. Confidential report includes results of the audit and annotations on
pages from your site with recommendations. Price varies with scope.
For information about the audit services, contact Pat Shea at CENTSS@wcet.info.
