Since 1997, WCET has been at the forefront of research and innovation in online student services. Recognizing the importance of effectively planned and executed online student services, WCET, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and Seward Inc. have joined forces to create the Center for Transforming Student Services.

• A catalyst for creating multi-campus, multi-state, and international alliances in telecommunicated education
• An advocate for effective policies and practices supporting distance education
• An evaluator and researcher on the best uses of educational technologies

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities seeks to:

• Provide high-quality student services
• Provide access to high quality, online education through Minnesota Online
• Undertake local and national research to support an increase in knowledge and help promote MnSCU as a national leader

Seward Inc. seeks to:

• Provide high-quality, ROI-based e-Learning and e-Business solutions for educational institutions both nationally and internationally
